Coach Parking in Bath

Coaches play a key role in our economy, with coach visitors spending up to £180K in the city every day. While this brings many benefits, we also need to be mindful of the negative impacts of coaches on residents, businesses and the historic city centre.

We’ve therefore set out proposals that aim to improve how we manage tourist and leisure coach travel within Bath.

These include:

  • Plans to cope with the expected number of visitors to Bath in the future
  • Improvements to existing drop-off/pick-up facilities in the city
  • New on-street drop-off/pick-up facilities in the city
  • A new coach parking facility at Odd Down Park and Ride
  • Limited new short stay parking (up to 90 mins) within and on the periphery of the city.

Our proposals take account of significant research and evidence, along with feedback from stakeholders that have good insight into the issues in Bath.

We welcome feedback on our proposals from all stakeholders and interested parties, including coach operators, residents and local businesses.
