Cycle Training in Bath & North East Somerset
The Council offers free cycle training for all ages, with Level 1 and Level 2 Bikeability training offered through schools, and one-to-one training for adults. The Council also has limited spaces for free balance bike training, where very young children can learn to ride without stabilisers.
Free Bikeability Cycle Training in Schools
All B&NES primary schools have been offered free Bikeability Level 1 and Level 2 training through the Council’s contracted training provider, Cycling Instructor Limited. Level 1 is generally for years 3 & 4 and Level 2 for years 5 & 6. It is up to the individual schools to arrange this training, so you should make enquiries through the relevant school. Details of the Bikeability scheme are at: http://bikeability.dft.gov.uk/
Free Adult Cycle Training
Free adult training (Bikeability Level 3) is offered to anyone who lives, works or studies in B&NES. Training is delivered by Cycling Instructor Limited, and takes the form of one-to-one training which can be tailored to your individual needs, for instance concentrating on your route to work etc. You can book lessons online through the Cycling Instructor website.
